Meet Emily Heuck, SLP
Meet Emily – Pediatric Speech Therapist
Hi there! I’m Emily—a licensed speech-language pathologist helping children ages 0–18 build strong, confident communication skills.
At Emily Speech Chicago, I provide private pay speech therapy so families can get the support they need—without the limitations of insurance. That means flexible scheduling, personalized care, and therapy on your terms.
I use evidence-based practices and a play-based approach to support children with speech delays, language disorders, articulation, and social communication needs. Whether your child is just beginning to babble or navigating complex conversations, I’m here to help them thrive.
Now accepting new clients in Chicagoland. Let’s connect and create a therapy plan that works for your family.

What can I do for your child?
As parents, it’s natural to wonder if your child’s communication skills are on track. I support children in many areas, including:
Language Expression
Help your child say what they’re thinking!
Children with expressive language challenges may struggle to use the right words, speak in full sentences, or tell stories. I help kids build clear, confident communication skills through engaging, goal-focused therapy.
Language
Comprehension
Support your child’s ability to understand the world around them.
When kids have difficulty following directions or understanding what’s being said, it can impact learning and daily life. I target listening, comprehension, and processing skills to help your child thrive at home and in the classroom.
Speech Sound
Production
Clarity matters—let’s make speech easier to understand.
If your child is hard to understand or mispronounces sounds, they may benefit from speech sound therapy. I use fun, effective strategies to help children improve articulation and speak clearly with confidence.
Social Communication &
Executive Functioning
Helping kids connect, stay organized, and thrive in daily life.
I support children in building social communication skills—like conversation, emotional awareness, and flexible thinking—alongside executive functioning skills such as planning, attention, and self-regulation. These combined skills are key for success at home, in school, and in social settings.
